Feeding characteristics of flat die granulator

The first station where the material enters the flat die wood pellet maker is the feeding room. The feeding room plays the role of buffering and feeding materials, and completes the feeding of the materials to the wedge-shaped grab angle of the grinding roller. The feeding chamber has two characteristics. One is that the feeding space is wide, which provides space for the large-diameter press rollers that squeeze the biomass raw materials, and also provides the feeding space for the fluffy biomass raw materials; the second is the direct action of gravity. The feeding principle is efficient and practical.


Biomass materials such as sawdust, branches, shredded tree branches and straw powder have high crude fiber content, are light and fluffy, and are not easy to feed. The spacious feeding room, first of all, can provide a wide feeding space for the material. Secondly, it is allowed to be equipped with a large-diameter press roller, thereby increasing the grabbing angle and enhancing the grabbing ability for coarse fiber materials. According to calculations, the bulk density of the sawdust material is about 200kg/m3, the porosity is about 75%, the material itself is light and fluffy, and the compression ratio when it is made into pellets is above 6, which places higher requirements on the feeding space. The flat die sawdust pellet mill has a spacious feeding chamber. Take the flat die pelletizer machine as an example, its effective feed volume is about 120dm3, and a single feed can reach 24kg, which can fully meet the needs of the machine.


Secondly, the process of material feeding is a process of natural falling under the action of gravity. There is no need to force feeding, and the raw materials can directly fall to the station suitable for extrusion. This feeding method is obviously better than the ring die wood pellet machine. When the ring die machine is working, it is necessary to explore the corresponding guide plate parameters for different materials. If the material properties change slightly, the guide plate has to be changed, which limits. The adaptability of the ring die machine to raw materials is improved.
